Privacy Policy

ImOnIt is a family task app built by a small independent team that runs it on its own servers. Our privacy position is simple: your family's data exists to make the app work for your family, and for no other purpose. No ads, no data sales, no third-party analytics.

What we collect

• Account information: your email address, a password (stored only as a secure hash), and the display name you choose.
• Family activity: the tasks, bounties, rewards, Life Points transactions, feed events, reactions, and feedback your family creates by using the app. This content is visible to members of your family as the app describes (for example, private asks and private rewards are visible only to the two people involved).
• Device push token: if you allow notifications, an anonymous token issued by Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging so we can deliver them. It identifies your device to the notification service, not your identity.
• Invite emails: when you invite someone, we use their email address solely to send the invitation.

What we don't do

• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone.
• We do not show ads or embed advertising SDKs.
• We do not use third-party analytics or tracking.
• We do not read your family's content except when you ask us to investigate a support issue.

Services we rely on

Two pieces of infrastructure involve third parties: Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) delivers push notifications, and our email provider delivers signup codes and invitations. Both receive the minimum needed to do their job — a device token or an email address — and nothing about your family's activity beyond the notification text itself.

Where your data lives

ImOnIt runs on servers we operate ourselves, not on a big-tech cloud platform. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS everywhere) and backed up routinely so your family's history is safe.

Retention and deletion

Your data is kept for as long as your account is active. To delete your account and the personal data associated with it, send a request through the support page from the email address on your account — we will confirm and complete deletion within 30 days. Ledger entries that involve other family members (for example, a payment between you and them) are retained in anonymized form so their history still adds up.

Children

ImOnIt is designed for adults and teens (13 and up). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Accounts are created with an email address, and family membership is by invitation from an existing member.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and note the date above. Material changes will be announced in the app.
